Salem-Keizer Transit is Seeking New Members for the Special Transportation Fund Advisory CommitteeApr 28, 2015
Are you interested in representing the transportation needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities? Are you a resident of Marion or Polk County? Consider submitting an application to join the Special Transportation Fund Advisory Committee. This committee makes recommendations to finance and improve transportation programs and services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. It’s a great opportunity to give back to your community.
Most members of this advisory committee are either seniors or have a disability; however, these are not requirements to be on the committee. For example, you could represent an organization that serves seniors or individuals with disabilities.
The Salem-Keizer Transit Board of Directors appoints members to the Special Transportation Fund (STF) Advisory Committee. Members serve three-year terms. The committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Senator Hearing Room at 555 Court St. NE, Salem.
The STF program is administered by ODOT Public Transit Division. Salem-Keizer Transit is the STF Agency and is responsible for managing and coordinating the STF process for both Marion and Polk Counties.
