The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program was created to provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by minorities and women that want to do business with the U.S. Department of Transportation and other agencies, including Salem-Keizer Transit, that receive federal funds from the Department of Transportation.

Salem-Keizer Transit has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal of 1.5 percent for projects funded by the Federal Transit Administration in fiscal years 2015 – 2017. This goal fulfills the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, as set forth in 49 C.F.R. Part 26.
