Cherriots is the Salem-Keizer public transportation system. All Cherriots buses are ADA accessible with front load bike racks that accommodate up to two bicycles at a time.

A Greener Fleet
Our fleet is made up of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and Clean Diesel buses running on bio-diesel. Grant funding pays for approximately 90% of new bus purchases. For additional information about Cherriots bus purchases, please visit Projects.
- CARTS serves rural Marion and Polk counties. Most CARTS buses go to the Salem Transit Mall for convenient transfers. CARTS route 10 to Woodburn also connects with Canby Area Transit (CAT).
- South Metro Area Regional Transit (SMART) can be caught at the Transit Mall and will take you to Wilsonville where you can also connect with Tri-Met's WES commuter rail and buses to Portland.
- Catch Yamhill County Transit at the West Salem Glen Creek Transit Center to get to McMinnville and beyond.
