2. Seniors who are 60 or older
If you are 60 or older, you don't need to apply for a reduced fare ID. Simply show your license or other ID card showing your age to the bus driver when boarding the bus to pay a reduced fare. Bring your license or other ID card to Customer Service or a store that sells our passes to purchase reduced passes.
3. Anyone who meets the Federal Transit Administration's definition of disability:
"Any individual who, by reason of illness, injury, age, congenital malfunction, or other permanent or temporary disability, are unable, without special facilities or special planning or design, to utilize mass transportation and services as effectively as persons who are not so affected."
Eligibility can be either permanent or temporary.
- Permanent: any impairment expected to last a lifetime that impairs a person's ability to ride a bus.
- Temporary: any impairment expected to last three to 12 months.
